Kau Radio Station - Ka'u District is the largest district in all of Hawai'i. Located on the SE portion of Hawaiian Island, spanning from Volcano, HI to Miloli'i. Ka'u Radio is a community-operated broadcasting organization, non-profit, and operated by 100% volunteer staff. We play all kine genre, covering all local news and events, 24/7/365 Radio broadcasting, We were blessed to be amongst the first few stations granted our LPFM Construction Permit, and able to now begin the process of adding Terrestrial Radio Broadcasting as KAUH-LP on 104.7 FM, being awared this license, sparked a new chapter in our organization, being the first legal station in Ocean View's History! What an honor, and all thanks to our community support and our volunteers. We are also part of the Emergency Broadcasters Network (EBN), SkyWarn, ARES of S. Hawaii, CERT organizations, as well as Hawaii County Civil Defense, so we have you all covered for local emergencies and notifications Island wide.
